There are many walks around the cliffs in Arbroath. You can walk all the way to Auchmithie from here. It takes about 2 hours, so why not stop at the But 'n' Ben for a coffee or lunch before getting a taxi back to your car again.

Excellent coastal walk from the north side of Arbroath's seafront to the small village of Auchmithie. To do the full walk requires doubling back once reaching Auchmithie, or taking a bus back or leaving a car at the end for the return to Arbroath

Arbroath cliffs are an amazing sight and a beautiful walk. Keep to the path for safety of course - but there are areas where you can head down to beach stretches and quiet areas to picnic, swim or kayak.
