Great beach for families that dont want the waves of the ocean beach. Also can great walking tracks and view points of the beautiful scenery.

At the southern end of Waihi Beach is ANZAC bay. This is popular with families and boaties. There are no waves here so nice place to take the little ones. It is also a great place to go when the wind is coming from the east. Take a short walk over the hill to Shelly Bay or go up to the lookout for a great view of the Waihi Beach Bar.
