For the times when you don't want to drive into town, but need one or two quick items. It carries items that most convenience stores stock, including slippers (flip flops), ice cream, and eggs. This is the closest store to the rental property.

The closest market. With essentials like rice, soda, whisky, wine, ramen, and chocolate. It's a one of a kind market, closer to what you would find in Costa Rica or Fiji rather than the mainland.

It is the only grocery store in Hawaiian Beaches. A good place to pick up a few items you forgot on your list when you don't want to go back to Pahoa or Hilo. The prices are no worse than at 7 Eleven.
