Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, a esteemed artist known by the nickname Halikarnas Balıkçısı, who greets us with his word at the top of the Bodrum slope, on the other hand, has the story a bit reversed. Cevat Şakir was born in Istanbul. Since his father was an ambassador, he spent his childhood years in Athens. He attended high school at Robert College. When he finished New Age history at Oxford University and returned to Istanbul, he started to write articles for various newspapers and magazines. He drew cartoons. He wrote the comics. After the proclamation of the Republic, he was sentenced to 3 years as a Kalebent and exiled to Bodrum for an article about smuggling. He wrote most of his works here. When her children reached secondary school age, she had to move to İzmir because there was no secondary school in Bodrum. Even though he moved, Cevat Şakir's mind always stayed in Bodrum. He loved Bodrum so much that he wanted to be buried there when he died. His son, on the other hand, said to bury him in Izmir so that he could visit often. Cevat Şakir said, "I don't want to. You know I love Bodrum. Who has not worked with; John Coltrane recorded his first album with it. Discovering Ray Charles, his company released his first album. He also discovered the Lep Zepplin group, and he took great care of them and showed them the way. He brought Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, Genesis and many more names to the music world.
