Geronimo Springs is a museum that should be in a museum! If you visit there, you will know exactly what we mean. Learn about all things Sierra County, from Geronimo to the name Truth or Consequences. It includes a bookstore loaded with books about southern New Mexico. Open daily 9-5, Sun 12-5

Geronimo Springs Museum offers a spectacular collection of local history. The different wings feature mineral specimens, fossils, ancient pottery, an entire miner’s cabin, and a detailed review of how Truth or Consequences gained it’s name from Ralph Edwards. You could easily spend hours in here, I know I have. Don’t leave town without popping in and learning something new!

Excellent Museum exhibiting the founding of 'Hot Springs'; the story of how the name change to Truth or Consequences came about; and, the history and growth of the town and its peoples. Fine exhibits of pottery, Indian artifacts, and life before technology.
