It is actually bigger than the institute building (bathrooms, gift shop, parking lot for visitors and hikers)--it's called Glen Helen, a real glen. An amazing, huge, wilderness just beside the bike path right in town. Wonderful trails, ancient rock outcroppings, shallow caves, a long bridge over the stream, a waterfall, wildflowers, and the magic waters of the yellow spring--dip your finger in it, make a mark on your forehead, and you are destined to return.

Our 1000 acre woods and home to the Yellow Spring. Owned by Antioch College, it is the crown jewel of Yellow Springs. In a 1 mile hike, you can see the most popular spots but there are plenty of trails for an even longer hike. Be sure to check out the Raptor Center also.
