Cronulla beaches makeup some of the most famous Sydney beaches. They are great for children and adults with fantastic surf breaks, cafes and restaurants right on the beach.
Great area for a long walk by the seaside. Some decent restaurants, bars and shopping too. Under 40 minutes drive.
- 23mins drive It is the only Sydney beach that can be reached by train, meaning you can visit without the headache of finding a car park. Cronulla Beach is the only beach patrolled all year round by Sutherland Shire Council's professional lifeguards together with volunteer lifesavers from Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club. The Cronulla Pavilion and Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club are two prominent buildings located close to the sand, along with a cafe and restaurant. Behind the beach is a large grassed area with plenty of shade and a playground. The Cronulla Rock Pools are between Cronulla Beach and North Cronulla Beach. The Alley is the local name given to this area.
