Restored English Georgian style mansion on 160 acres, built by German refugee Johan Jost Herchhcimer on 6000 acres of farmland along the Mohawk. Trails, hiking and sweeping vistas of river and valley.

General Herkimer was wounded in a nearby battle of the Revolutionary home and was brought back to his home in Herkimer and died despite the efforts to save him. Cool home to visit and sometimes they have reenactments of time period culture on site.
