The closest place to us, around 1 minute walk. Does okay fish & chips. Open 11:45am-1:45pm and 4:30pm-8:30pm most days.

You'll get a different answer every time you ask a Buxtonian which the best chip shop is. But many will say Bill's, and we agree. Perfect chips and friendly staff (though it's about a mile away from the flat, so we would drive if bringing them home for tea).
