This is a beautiful spot but requires a bit of a strenuous walk to get to the beach - if you're into a little work out, you'll love it! You'll find hiking trails and boardwalks, a swimming beach, picnic tables and grills.
A fantastic, but very hidden and a virtually-private beach. You will have to hike roughly 1-mile from the parking lot to the water (it's a magical hike, though)—so, plan ahead and accordingly. Another of the world's best fresh water beaches. Hike year round, but, beach June-September. ~90min drive.
A great .7 mile hike to the beach! The most amazing view at Rosy Mound Natural Area is reached after you climb a long set of stairs to Dune Overlook. Lots of stairs and a great workout! Search www.michigantrailmaps.com for more local hikes.
Looking for a nice long walk in the woods along a wooded staircase and manicured path that ends at a beach you can swim at? Then Rosy Mound is the place for you. A favorite for local joggers looking to get a stair workout. Enjoy your walk through the Great Lakes dune system including high wooded…
“This is a cool spot to grab a beer, coffee, catch some live music and even see some art in the gallery upstairs. One of my favorite spots for nightlife in GH but it's also fun by day. The long tables are made of bowling lane wood and there are games to play for guests. You can grab some tacos from Righteous Cuisine which has a small kitchen and limited menu there. Aldea Coffee is in the same building and you'll be hard-pressed to find a finer cup of joe anywhere else in GH! ”

“Favorite breakfast spot! You may have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table, but it's worth it. Stroll around downtown Grand Haven after and enjoy the shops!”

Grocery or Supermarket
“If you just need groceries and don't want to bother with a big grocery chain like Meijer's or Walmart (which are in same area as D&W), this is the place to go.”
