This is the biggest town square in Malaysia. It consists of 32 acres area which is regularly used for concerts and cultural activities. In July every year, Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF) is held by Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) at Sibu Town Square, for a period of 10 days. It is a celebration of traditional music, dances, contests, beauty pageant, food stalls, fun fairs, and product exhibitions. While, in December, there is Sibu Christmas Tree Decoration Competition happens every year, filling the Sibu Town Square (Phase I) with creatively decorated Christmas trees.
