If you like walking and enjoying some quiet time, this is a beautiful trail through to the dam. You can park at the end of Cornish Street, Petone and walk from there.

Easily accessible bush walk, well-formed paths (not suitable for wheelchairs) suitable for family groups. Can be done as an in-and-out walk from Oakleigh St, Maungaraki. Alternatively can include the length of the Korokoro Stream, Oakleigh St to Petone, or vice versa. Comfortably accessible nature walk/bush experience. Great photo opportunities.
