Popular for bushwalking, kayaking, swimming and fishing and famed for its surfing break on the headland at Saltwater Beach. The park is a declared Aboriginal Place of cultural significance to the local Biripi people. There are several important Dreaming sites here. This is a special place.
Good nature walking track, suitable for families, longer walks also or bike ride on forest fire trails and roads.
At this small coastal reserve east of Taree, you can bushwalk, canoe, kayak, swim, fish, surf, picnic, and even whale watch from August through November.
Take a 3 km (one way=6km return) walk on the beach and explore the unspoiled beauty of Nature. It's a very relaxing walk along the beach. You'll meet only a few people and more wildlife.
Great surfing at Saltwater Point, picnic area, lagoon for swimming, kayaking and fishing, cycle and walking tracks. Only 2km from Driftwood. You can go to the lookout at the end of the point by following the path on the northern side of the point. Saltwater is a sacred place for local Biripi people.
