I always enjoy taking a stroll down this boardwalk trying to spot alligators in their natural habitat.

Take a quiet stroll and enjoy nature. This is an excellent opportunity to spot an alligator, see the Mt. Dora Lighthouse and take a photo of Old Joe, the giant alligator statue. Bug repellant will be useful if you are strolling at dusk.

This boardwalk along Lake Dora has an “Old Florida” feel with the Spanish moss and wildlife. You usually see a variety of birds, turtles, and even the occasional gator.

Palm Island Park has a lovely stretch of nature boardwalk along Lake Dora within walking distance from the Carriage House. Viewing a gator (or two) is practically a guarantee if you go during in the evening hours.
