Stranraer Harbour is one of the busiest ports in the region due to ferry traffic and fishing vessels. The harbour office is open from 08:30 until 16:00.

Stranraer Harbour and Marina is a 2 minute walk from the cottage. Take in the sights and nice walk along the shore.

Lovely small harbour to visit, good accessible walkway round the harbour, lovely views. Relaxing walk with our dog we walked to the far end and just sat on a bench in the peace and quiet admiring the views. Plenty of free parking and it's a very relaxed place. Don't make a special trip, but if you're in Stranraer it's definitely worth a visit.

Again a nice town to visit , has Tesco and Morrisons . Some nice places to eat
