Somerton Park Beach is adjacent to Glenelg beach in the north and Brighton Beach in the south. It is a wide beach about two kilometers long. The Minda Dunes are one of only two remaining examples of a secondary dune system along the Adelaide metropolitan coastline.They are the only section of privately-owned dunes along the Adelaide coast and are protected as part of a coastal conservation zone. Such a beautiful and picturesque place. Great beach for a walk. The city council has maintained it so well. There are a lot of benches, jogging/walking track, and litter bins along the beach. Calm and peaceful place. The neighborhood is quiet and the people are friendly.

Excellent spot to swim at the life guard patrolled beach, sit and relax and grab a coffee at the Somerton Park SLSC kiosk. Magical to watch the sunset after a nice walk.
