Depending on where you are from in the nation, Waffle House is a great breakfast diner, or a bit of a dive. We personally love a good Waffle House throw down. You just can’t go wrong with the Cheese n Eggs platter, a warm bowl of grits, and some hash browns scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked, peppered, and country. Not all Waffle Houses are created equal, so here’s the 411 on the two best in the area (Travelers Rest and Haywood Rd). The guys working the grill know what they’re doing. And if you go to Haywood Rd, check and see if Mary made the sweet tea-- it’s southern perfection.
