Nhong Mon Market is located one kilometre from Bang San Beach. It is a well-known souvenir market but is also equally famous for its local food speciality ‘khao lam’. This consists of glutinous rice cooked in hollowed-out bamboo trunks. The market’s popularity has not waned throughout the ages and there is a local saying that, ‘You can’t say you’ve been to Chonburi unless you’ve taken some khao lam home with you.’
