Sidney is a quaint seaside town, it offers all the necessities ( grocer, pharmacy etc) Beacon Ave is lined with unique shops, including many restaurants, coffee shops and bookstores.

Thursday evening farmer's market from mid-May to the end of August. Niche stores throughout. The "book city" of Canada. Wonderful restaurants. Did we mention view of the ocean?

This is a nice town to wander around, maybe on your way to the ferry it has lots of culture, bookstores and of course food.....
