12 min from house. Has restaurant and bar (called Beacon Bar and Grille) right on the water! Great Sunset Location!!!! Kayak, paddle board and other water equipment rentals are available there.

MUST SEE! This is what you think of when you think of Lake Tahoe! Gorgeous boulders in the lake. 45 min from the house but worth the drive! $10 entrance fee and no dogs allowed. You can rent paddle boards here!
TIP: Get here early (7am in the summer) to avoid crowds & get parking. OR local tip: pre-buy tix online to one of their summer Shakespeare Plays to get in at a more reasonable time.

MUST SEE! This is what you think of when you think of Lake Tahoe! Gorgeous boulders in the lake. 45 min from the house but worth the drive! $10 entrance fee and no dogs allowed. You can rent paddle boards here!
