Great place to park and venture off on trails to Fallen Leak Lake and the surrounding area. Lots to explore around those parts. Not patrolled aside from inside the camp ground. Always seems like a dog friendly place in my experience.
Go on a hike at the lake nestled in the forest :) This lake usually isn't as crowded as other popular spots and it provides truly breathtaking views. Great for photo ops or leaving the phone in the car all together and decompressing in the woods.
Tucked away among the trees behind Tahoe's bustling South Lake, this pretty oval-shaped lake is nearly 3 miles long. On the south end of the lake, you'll find the Mount Tallac Trailhead where you can take the easier Floating Island Lake trail (1.7 miles one-way) or the strenuous Mount Tallac Trail…
“The reason this is a favorite beach is that it is lined with pine trees, so you have the shade of the trees and the fresh Tahoe forest experience, but also the beautiful, amazing Lake Tahoe, great for swimming, renting Kayaks or paddle boards, picnics, and the perfect place to spend the day on the lake.”

“This course has a beautiful layout. It's not very long but challenging nonetheless. The greens were quick and rolled true. Elevation change at this course adds to your distance! ”
