The Castle or Fort of San Felipe is just outside of the walled city of Cartagena. It is one of the most popular and interesting attraction in the city. You should take a taxi or a city tour to get there from the hotels or the walled city. The castle is the typical Colonial Spanish Fortress construction is very big in comparison with must of the other castles around the Caribbean, South America and San Augustin Florida.

You should take a taxi or a city tour to get there from the hotels or the walled city. This is a small museum but full of history. The texts or descriptions are in Spanish and English so if one does not have a guide one can still see and understand the history. The museum preserves what is left of native culture not taken by the Spanish. Picture taking was allowed.The museum is mostly for the Zenu tribal collection. Not as large as the main museum in Bogota, but just as impressive and educational. Worth a visit during the peak heat of the day. I highly recommend it for content and layout.

Pretty plaza with some nice architecture (mayor of the city sits on this plaza) and Christopher Columbus monument. Also, you will find a tourist information office here. They were very helpful and recommended a free tour of Cartagena.
