Greeted at the coffee house by our barista host, you’ll be offered a coffee drink of your choice; lattes, cappuccino, pour overs, americanos, cold brew and more. While enjoying your coffee; our Coffee Roaster will be in action, you’ll witness how we start from a green coffee bean, dropped into the roaster, and then spilled out hot.. our roasted bean cooling off in the agigtator; while emersed in the scent of freshly roasted coffee; you’ll learn the process of creating our different profiles, origins of specialty beans used, the different kinds of roasts and blends and how they come about. We will then tour the property, experiencing the smell the coffee roaster puts into the air; you’ll see a vintage 1950s truck, Airstream, refurbished old barn, farmhouse and walk through the gardens, greenhouse and take in the serenity of nature; you will be welcomed to another coffee drink (we recommend a cold brew on those sunny days!) A charcuterie board to enjoy during roast as well as cafe treats paired with each different blend of coffee we sample. We’ll finish off in coffee house where today’s roast can be sampled, & there will be a gift basket with our blends and more for you take home! Other things to note Visitors of 14th Coffee Co often take pictures - so bringing a camera.. or your phone camera!

A hands on cooking class where you'll learn to make 3 dishes and flatbread. Itinerary: - Start by meeting your host and fellow students. - Listen and learn about what we're cooking for the evening. - Join in and help prepare and cook the meal. - Drink wines that we'll pair with the dinner. - Eat the meal. - We'll do all the cleanup. Have you ever wondered how maple syrup is made? Our tour will show you the whole process from tap to table! We start by looking at an individual maple tree, explaining the tapping process and how sap travels to the sugar shack to be boiled into syrup. See tubes, tanks, pumps, reverse osmosis, and our 6x18’ evaporator, learning fun facts about sap and syrup. We explain how our other products are made, such as maple sugar, cream, and candy. We’ll answer questions along the way, sampling various products, all of which are available for purchase at the end of the tour. Other things to note: * Wear clothing and footwear suitable for the season and for some light walking. * As a small family business it is sometimes difficult to maintain regular dates/times of tours listed on our calendar. Locale Wine Tours goal is to bring Local Chautauqua Businesses, Wineries and People together. We provide a 3.5 hour tour to 3 local Lake Erie Wine Country Vineyards. Each winery includes a curated flight & one stop always includes a specially wine& food pairing. Our tour guide is a WSET certified sommelier who will share the locale region's history, viticulture and the story behind each winery. This is the only wine tour in the region, and it is a very special way to experience the area.

You will have a private intimate experience in my home. I will give you a small tour of my home and then we will settle into the bar/dining area where your evening of Portuguese cuisine and culture will begin. We will start the evening with some Porto Wine tasting and some history of the Porto Region. We will then have some Portuguese cheese selections that you can sample. We will also enlighten you with some more history of some of the best places in Portugal to buy homemade cheese. We will have different red/white Portuguese wines for you to sample. We will give a detail description of the different wine regions of Portugal and tell you about some the best wineries in the region. Dinner will soon follow with a selection of a fish dish. Portuguese-Style Cod with Onions, Peppers & Black Olives. We will explain the best cod to buy and how to prepare it. We will also offer a meat dish. Portuguese Roasted Potatoes with Chouriço. With this dish we will give you the secrets of making your own homemade sausage. and lastly we will serve espresso and Portuguese Pastel De Nata!! through out the evening we will play some of our favorite Portuguese music.

Let's create and party at Chrys' Porcelain Pottery Party! All guests will use clay to create, build and paint their own hand-built pottery projects! Never had a professional photo shoot before? Great! Simply come with a willingness to be in front of my lens. We will start at my photo studio outside of Downtown Detroit. I will coach you every step of the way, to how to pose your body in a relaxed way. I will also share with you some cool local spots here in Detroit that you will be able to tour. In this session, you will have some amazing images of yourself in each location we tour and some photography tips I will teach along the way. You will learn about lighting and the importance of the surroundings and your subject. And after the session, you’ll receive a digital album of the photos I took of you, sent to you via email. This experience is great for one-on-one private sessions and/ or also for groups as a team-building activity! I’ve worked with many businesses, schools, and other organizations to lead and facilitate interactive group photography sessions.

Other things to note This is a fairly simply jewelry making project but you do need to have moderate hand strength. Please bring glasses if you need them to see small objects. In this experience we will go on a guided tour through some of Windsor's most interesting urban landscapes. I will teach you about how to use composition, lighting and angle to create a great image. Any camera including a phone is fine to use during this experience. We explore some of Windsor’s most interesting neighborhoods while learning how capture the mind's eye on film. By the end of the experience, you will meet some new friends and gain a deeper understanding of what elements are necessary to capture amazing images of urban landscapes.
