We provide an opportunity for people 5 and older to feed, occasionally pet, halter train and a guided walk with Alpaca and Llama! On this tour, you'll join me as we explore the city and food culture through the medium of donuts. You'll learn history of Philadelphia, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts. We start from Federal Donuts on South and 6th Street where we'll try some hot and fresh donuts along with their seasonal flavors. We'll then move on to Dotties Donuts where we try the vegan donuts you'll have no idea are even vegan. Next we'll stop by Sweet Charlies for a sweet surprise you won't believe. And lastly, we end at Reading Terminal Market to try Beilers - some of the best classic donuts around. Throughout the tour, we'll sprinkle in history, humor and fun facts regarding Philadelphia. Your guide will explain the history of each piece and how they blend together into a magical tapestry that drapes across the entire city. One of the main attractions on this tour is admission to the Philadelphia Magic Gardens - a trip into Wonderland. This incredible 3D art installation is the life's work of Isaiah Zagar - and where he still works regularly. Merging the profound with the ridiculous, the philosophical with the everyday, Zagar captures the imagination with his work - showing us how many men's trash can become our collective treasure. Once we arrive, you'll have as much time as you want to explore the space. When your official tour time is up, you're welcome to stay for longer, or venture out onto South Street for a different type of colorful experience.

Guests will receive a hands on class in candle-making. My candle-making class is unique because I create candles that look and smell like edible foods! Guests will be given a tour of my facility and shown different varieties of candles that I make and be offered light snacks and drinks. Then guests will be able to choose which designs they'd like to attempt creating themselves or simply create their very own design from scratch! I will guide them from start to finish on each aspect of creating the candle. Guests will be able to take home their creation and will have completed the class with candle making knowledge and experience. This experience captures a piece of the Philly culture and is lined up so that every stop is a hop and skip away from the next. With this tour we skip every line and pay no covers. It’s 4- 5 (dependent on group size) of our favorite bars with a secret bar or speakeasy along the tour; That even people that live in the city don’t know about. We will have a few drinks at each stop and makes some friends along the way. Look forward to having a great time with you. You will be able to enter animal enclosures and meet some of the animal residents, while learning about animal agriculture and hearing some of the unique rescue stories at Tamerlaine. Many of our animals love human attention! Feel free to bring a picnic and enjoy lunch (vegan) while taking in beautiful views of the property. Learn about the lives of farmed animals and animal rehabilitation, while listening to unique and inspiring recovery and rescue stories that will warm your heart. There is parking on site when you arrive. Arrive 5- 10 minutes before the tour to fill our our waiver and use the restroom. At check out (1) ticket is applicable for a group of ten (10) or less. On this tour, we’ll explore Independence National Historical Park and the Old City neighborhood to see a plethora of historical landmarks! Along the way, your guide will keep you posted on the history of these sites and fill you in on all kinds of useful info for your visit to Philly. After circling Independence Hall, we’ll make our way through other areas of the park. You’ll learn about the history of the Liberty Bell and how it has been used over the years. We’ll see Carpenters Hall, where the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was founded. Next, we’ll head to the Museum of American Revolution, which offers an incredible look at the stories, artifacts, and people that shaped the American Revolution. We’ll go inside to see a presentation of George Washington’s War Tent ( when your tour is over, you’ll be able to get a discounted ticket to see the rest of the museum). As we walk through Old City, we’ll also pass by some favorite sites outside Independence Park, such as Elfreth’s Alley (the oldest continuously-occupied residential street in the entire US), showcasing incredible architecture dating back to the early 1700s, the Betsy Ross House, named after a famous seamstress and flag maker who is said to have sewn the first ever American flag, Benjamin Franklin’s Grave (bring a penny to toss!), and the outdoor President’s House Landmark where Washington and Adams lived.

During this experience, you will make a one-of-a-kind Philadelphia-inspired candle. Each of our scents is named after Philadelphia neighborhoods and each reservation helps plant a tree in Philadelphia. You will be able to choose your own scents, candle jars, and dyes! Each candle is also made of 100% soy wax and pet and vegan-friendly. Some quick information about the experience: The candle-making experience is done as group instruction. To ensure all of our guests enjoy their experience, please arrive on time. You are considered a no-show after 10 minutes past your reservation time. No outside food as this will interfere with the scent picking portion, but we are BYOB! The candles take 2 hours to dry and we hold them for up to four weeks. There are lots of awesome things to do in the area while you wait and we have lots of recommendations, but we also have shipping options if needed.

What a wonderful opportunity to snuggle the famous Valais Blacknose Sheep, often referred to as "the Cutest Sheep in the World" in person. These sheep have a cult like following all over the world and now they are here in the United States as well! Grateful Acres is part of the Valais Blacknose Sheep breed-up program in North America, and our farm was the very 1st domestic purebred lambs in the USA! During your experience you will be able to meet and pet our lambs and sheep while trying not to fall in love. Last year the first domestic purebred ewe lambs, with little Joanne and Juniper were born and this year we are even more excited to announce the addition of 2 more purebred lambs, Kyrie and Kismet! This experience comes complete with a professional photographer! All photos come free with the experience and are edited and emailed to you electronically within 5 business days by our farm photographer. These pictures are yours to keep and there are no other costs associated, so feel free to use them as you wish. CAUTION: Valais Blacknose Sheep are VERY personable and love attention. They are often referred to as large fluffy dogs, but in sheep form. During your experience we will also share our experience in the breed up program, what it took to get them into the USA and answer any questions you may have.
