My favorite bistrot: great food (very good burger), reasonnable prices, typically Parisian (a few movie scenes were sot there including from Before Sunset).
A bit far from home (30min by metro line 4 and 9 to Charonne ) but it's close from République and Oberkampf, the best area for bars.

A immigration wave from Britanny in the early XXth made Montparnasse district the best place for crêpes ! My favorite crèperie is Le Petit Journal in rue Vavin but there are many others rue d'Odessa.

In this street, you'll find many japanese restaurants (cheap and fast food), some nice bars (I like to go to Le Tournesol for the terrasse).
There're also many theatres and sex shops in this street, hence its name (Happiness Street)
