Baarle-Nassau is a Dutch village, but it has Belgian enclaves inside. The NL/B border is marked on the road and often crosses right through houses. It's a small town, but there's a good number of cafes and shops.

Alphen's biggest supermarket. It has everything you may need on a day-to-day basis, even including postal service, ATM and dry cleaning. The choice (e.g. in vegetables) is not huge.

This is a slightly bigger supermarket with lower prices and more choice than you'll find in Alphen. Parking can be difficult though. If you park on the square in front, you need to use a "clock" to indicate when you came. You're allowed to park for 2 hours at a time for free.
If there's no spot at the square, you can park in the streets nearby. The same 2 hour requirement goes.
Or use the paid car park which is to the left of the Jumbo, on the other side of the road (coming from Alphen). Pass between the flower shop and travel agency.
