This is a former fortress that now sits close to the apartment, if you follow Toldbodgade all the way down. There is a beautiful, British Church in Gothic style, the Danish National Museum of Liberty (freedom fighters from the 2nd World War) and a big, open and green area with channels which is perfect for a run and close to the apartment. The Little Mermaid and several other attractions are right by.

Sightseeing
Kvæsthusbroen has just been renovated and redecorated and now features a large open place that will serve as Copenhagen's future cultural venue with concerts, exhibitions and cafés in the middle of the channel. There is space to swim as well which we do almost everyday - watch out for the boats, though!
