Bolter's lock area is a fun place to see the boats sailing through the local lock. There is a lovely park, Ray Mill Island, with a stunning views of the river. There is an aviary, guiney pig enclosure and an adventure play area for the children. Ice cream and drinks are available when the weather is nice. The restaurant has great views on the river and is a bit more expensive.

Parks & Nature

The park is 20 yards from our home. It has a big playground for children, very youngs one and older ones, lovely picnic area, outdoor gym equipment, very well maintained tennis courts, and great views. Also highly recommended is the tranquility of the Nicholas Winton memorial garden to honour Holocaust hero. A beautiful spot to meditate and enjoy.
Lovely walks, cool and crawly trees, some of the scene in the Harry Potter movies were filmed there.

Brunel's Sounding Arch was the largest arch spanning over a river at its time. It is built to allow sound to travel from one end to the other. So whispering on one shore will allow you to hear the words clearly on the other side!
