A great place to hang out for a coffee or just to relax near the beach. Open most of the year too. Very cool place and people.
It's a lovely spot and always has a great menu and service. If you like art you'll find you are sitting next some great paintings of local scenes. You can go there in the day and sit under the cherry tree and have a cup of tea or coffee but it is popular in the evenings and you should book by phone or call in.

Cool place to hang out whenever you want some peace and a coffee and cake.
Recommend you book a table in high season. A great place for a drink, very good but expensive coffee or to share a very large pizza and chips. Easy walk down the hill from 1 Polzeath Court and the views are straight across the Bay and to Stepper, Trevose and across the Atlantic Ocean. Quite difficult to beat simply because of its position. Eddie who owns and runs Harbour Brewery is often here and the beers are mostly his! Very clean and great loos!

Sightseeing
A deserted port where you can park in the National Trust carpark or even better just walk directly there from Polzeath Court on a coastal walking day out. Doyden and the pink thrift is a wonder to see in May and it's a romantic spot at any time of the year.

You'll never find anything better than The Rumps if you are looking at coastal scenery and often you'll have the whole place entirely to yourself as you have to walk to it! From Polzeath Court you can take a two or three hour circular walk and spend time there just being at peace with the ocean and the impressive cliffs and island. Lots of history and stories but you'll have to come on one of my walking tours to hear everything about it. One of the best coast forts in the whole of Cornwall. Great for watching the sea for dolphins and other marine life which have to pass through a narrow neck between the Mouls and The Rumps. Cows sometimes fall off the cliffs here so be careful!

Shopping
It may be on the expensive side but the small shop carries just about everything you need for your holiday and will save you a trip to a supermarket in Wadebridge. It's about a six minute walk from us across the beach so take a rucksack or your own shopping bags for the walk home. In summer it is hard to park outside and you will need to pay in the carparks opposite and don't be tempted to park and run in from them as the car parking attendants come and nab you quicker than you think!

SPAR Polzeath
The ParadeIt may be on the expensive side but the small shop carries just about everything you need for your holiday and will save you a trip to a supermarket in Wadebridge. It's about a six minute walk from us across the beach so take a rucksack or your own shopping bags for the walk home. In summer it is hard to park outside and you will need to pay in the carparks opposite and don't be tempted to park and run in from them as the car parking attendants come and nab you quicker than you think!

One of the best and just a short walk from our flat. At low tide a vast expanse of sand. Good surfing, rockpool rambles and sandcastle making for the young at heart.

There is a swimming pool, fitness centre, golf course, short tennis and just about everything else. On a sunny day it is a lovely walk from the flat up through Polzeath itself and along the side of the Valley Caravan Park. It can be very windy up there but a good place to take in for lunch or a drink on a walk to Daymer Bay and Rock if you are taking the back paths through the fields! Jeremy and Eva who run it are often around and very friendly and helpful. They have a beer festival there and there is always something going on...even Yoga retreats.

We went to see one of the best Spanish guitarists in the world here not long ago and although it was packed out it was a great place to hold an intimate concert.
