If the weather is nice, you can enjoy your coffee and waffle on the outdoor tables nearby.

The National Taiwan University campus will impress you with its majestic Royal Palm Bulevard, leading from the iconic main entrance to the library building.
There are lakes, porches, parks, beautiful trees and spots with an unique atmosphere. Although it's the most awarded university in Taiwan, it's campus is enjoyed by locals for it's beauty and atmosphere.

Jiufen is a former mining town, sitting on a hilly slope, now a touristic attraction renown for it's tea houses, traditional restaurants, and its "Myazaki" atmosphere.
Enjoying a tea on a terrace overlooking the valley is priceless.
Houtong literally means "monkey cave", and in fact the whole town is full of... lazy cats. The locals had this idea to attract tourists, and if you like cats, that's the place to go...
However the real fascination of this town is due to it's mining past. There is a mine museum, and the relics of old tracks, and huge monstrous machinery lay there abandoned, creating a surreal sight.

Maokong is a spectacular town dedicated to tea production and tasting. There is a beautiful view on Taipei, and several tea houses, restaurants and a tea museum.
If you walk uphill you will see the iconic tea plantations.
Maokong can be reached via a cable car from the Taipei Zoo MRT station, or via a hiking trail.
