Sunset Point in Collingwood - beautiful beach, great playground, walking and biking trails. Chippers does great fish and chips with Kawartha ice cream in the back. Open all summer! Great place for the dog as well

Thornbury - Great shops and unique cafes. Waterfront is spectacular and usually less crowds than Collingwood. Pom Pom ice cream is close the water and our kids’ fave (they also have a less busy location in Meaford)
