Our fave wave spot. It's quite busy for surfers but it's a great place to sit by the wall and watch the surf smash against the rocks. Your choice of either Rainbow Bay beach or Froggy's beach for the sun lovers. They sit on either side of snapper.

Another calm and beautiful spot for paddle boarding and swimming. It's especially good for sea turtle spotting. Have a nice walk around, take a dip, or rent a kayak and paddle about. There's a market here on Sundays and a popular fish and chip shack too.

Cooly Beaches busy and bustling? Head to North Kirra and Bilinga, the opposite direction of coolangatta. Walk along the beach across from your place, or head up the footpath to enjoy the more serene and quieter beaches that tourists rarely visit.

We prefer the calmness and authenticity of a smaller wildlife spot, David Fleays, but it's in Burleigh which you'll need a car to get to. We've included it in this guidebook for you to have a look at.
