The Friedensengel (Angle of Peace) was built in the same year as the much larger one in Berlin. It is a beautiful 10 minute walk from the Eisbach past the National Museum on the Prinzregentenstrasse. This spot is where locals go to see the sun set. It is a great starting or ending point for a walk along the river Isar.

Maximilianeum station
This is another beautiful spot for sunsets. Locals grab a beer or some wine and sit on the wall below this spectacular building. The 10-15 walk or bike ride (5-7 minutes) down Maximilianstrasse leads past beautiful buildings and over the river Isar.
On top of the Technical University is the Vorhoelzer Forum. This is a cafe you won’t find by walking by. Situated on the roof top of the Technical University, it offers beautiful views over the city into the mountains.

enter the TU main entrance on Arcisstrasse. Walk down the first hallway to your left. At the end of the hallway take the elevator or the stairs to the top floor.

Technische Universität München
21 ArcisstraßeOn top of the Technical University is the Vorhoelzer Forum. This is a cafe you won’t find by walking by. Situated on the roof top of the Technical University, it offers beautiful views over the city into the mountains.
