This place is so new that it's not on Google Maps yet! Above the Good Life on Coxwell is Shamrock Bowl. Under new management as of February 2019, this old school bowling alley has been reinvented as a restaurant/bar. You can actually eat delicious food, while bowling! Check it out for me and let me know how it is.

Just at the top of our street is the entrance to Williamson Park Ravine. It is a beautiful unspoiled bit of nature hidden in the middle of the neighbourhood. It gets muddy and slippery when it rains so don't venture down there in your good shoes. The trail is well marked but precarious in places and requires some balance to cross the creek along the narrow planks that serve as bridges. Well worth a visit!

Get on the bus on Coxwell and head south for a short ten minute ride. Get off at Kingston Road and walk through the park until you see the wide expanse of glorious golden sand. Popular with sunbathers and beach volleyball enthusiasts in the summer, and joggers and cyclists year round. The boardwalk is great for people and dog watching and the surrounding neighbourhood is full of interesting shops and restaurants. Worth a visit even in the middle of February when the 'Winter Stations' Art exhibit is in place.

If you prefer to swim in a pool rather than the lake, our nearest outdoor pool is in Monarch Park, just a short walk away. It has a separate heated kiddie pool, a waterslide and diving boards in the deep end. And best of all it's FREE.

Sightseeing

No trip to Toronto is complete without a visit to the CN Tower. Our advice is to go for a meal - the food is stellar, only a little bit pricey and a trip up the tower is included in the price.
