Gracia neighbourhood is full of squares and bars, you should go there, sit in a terrace with a drink and a "tapa" and enjoy the weather. Also, go walk around the neighborhood and look at the building, are amazing!

Parks & Nature
This park is our oasis. It's a huge park with a lake and also the Catalan Parliament is located inside! In spring and summer it's usual to go there with something to drink and eat and just lay in the grass enjoying the sun.

The Monastery of Pedralbes is located in the upper part of Barcelona. It is a beautiful gothic monastery and museum. It is not a very frequented place by tourists. I recommend:)

This restaurant is unique. They've been serving the same four dishes since they opened. Tomato salad, fried sausage, salted anchovies, and fried boquerones (anchovies). Seems a small menu but believe me that all of these four tapas are delicious.

If you want to feel like a local, eat at the same time as them. Lunch for most Spanish people is between 1pm to 4pm. Dinner is between 9pm to 11pm. Barcelona is a big city with people from different cultures so you will always find a place to eat earlier.

If you want to eat true Spanish food, go to a tapas restaurant. But don’t forget that a tapa is a small plate so order many.

If you are in Barcelona during summer and want to escape the crowded beach of Barceloneta but still want to stay close to the city, take the Rodalies train line R1 at Plaça de Catalunya or Arc de Triomf (towards Mataró / Maçanet-Massanes) and stop at Ocata or Montgat Nord. These beautiful beaches are less packed, and you will be surrounded by locals.
