Alessandro Pilumeli was born in Sicily and began working in restaurants there at the age of fourteen. His experience in Sicily was followed by seven years in the restaurants of Florence, Italy and four years in fine dining establishments in America. This gave him a first hand familiarity with both the beautiful foods of Italy and how to prepare them for American tastes. Out of this, the idea for Alessandro’s Ristorante bloomed.

Our signature recipes include the Texas Barbeque Sandwich served on a cornmeal dusted roll. This Geneva-on-the-Lake specialty uses the Burns Barbeque Stand recipe for pulled pork.
