Soooo I’ve lived in Raleigh for 11 years and this is one of my absolute favorites for sushi AND ramen. Highly recommend, but make a reservation, they fill up quickly!

We stopped here randomly one night for dinner. It was beautiful outside, a DJ was playing good old music, we stayed late and met the owners. Food was phenomenal. They have another location off Lake Boone Trail

I use to work here a long long time ago. The food is a scratch made kitchen and delicious. The atmosphere is just contagious and somewhere you want to be. Located downtown off Glenwood Ave with their own parking. My suggestion is to park, eat there for dinner, ask for a parking voucher, then take a stroll down Glenwood for the nightlife scene

Sightseeing

Basically in the backyard and offers a great place to be active and safe away from traffic. We love walking/running our dog here. It’s beautiful and you’ll almost always see deer. From our property, it’s about 2 mile walk to the Walnut Creek Amphitheater. If you’re visiting for an event over the weekend and don’t want to park at that venue (parking there is crazy) this would be the way to go! Trust us, we’ve done it many times :)

Art and Music

The first Friday of every month, you’ll find live music and vendors downtown. This is also when all local art museums and art studios are open to the public for free! Not sure since Covid, but NC States College of Design showcase their work in an underground space called “The Fish Market”
