If you are interested in the history of SA, I highly recommend going out of your way to see this newly established museum. BUT .... please phone ahead, in case they are closed. As far as I am aware they are closed over weekends

A great display of natural and social history. Of special importance is the Coelacanth fish display. The German Settler history is also interesting. Not open over weekends. There is a lovely restaurant here too
