There’s is plentiful things to do in that area like renting boats, side by side etc. You must call the company ahead of time to reserve it so it will be available days ahead.

Exit Cleveland from 99 smoother route
If you are from stockton or sacramento area take 99 and exit Cleveland instead of Robertson . It is the smoothest and has less winding /curvy roads . You will also see markets and gas stations in that area.
