Walking

A great choice if you have a canine companion, or if you just enjoy scenic walks. There is also a lovely café within the grounds. Note that you will need to pay for parking and admission to the Hall itself unless you are a National Trust member.

The park boasts several paths that vary in difficulty and length. The main hard stoned path which travels through the centre of the park is ideal for pushchairs. If you’re after more of a challenge, head up to the Gazebo where you will find a viewing platform hidden away in the woods. It’s the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the North Norfolk coast. Note that admission to Sheringham Park is free, however there is a £6.50 parking fee if you are not a National Trust member.

City/town information

Cromer: "The Gem of the Norfolk Coast" The perfect blend of coffee shops, sand and sea. What more could you ask for? For keen walkers, I recommend a walk up to the Cromer Lighthouse, where you will be rewarded with beautiful panoramic views. Don't forget to stroll along the pier, and perhaps even try your hand at crabbing! Booking a show at the Pavilion Theatre is an absolute must as well.

Or if you fancy a real challenge, take on the Beeston Bump! Sheringham is also known for its popular market, held each Wednesday and Saturday, with a wide range of stalls from local seafood to jewellery.
