Great Falls but the road leading to the trailhead might require a SUV/truck. Trail leading to the Falls is moderate to difficult due to steep switchbacks. Experienced hikers will love this trail and waterfall.

Off the Cherohala Skyway about 30 minutes outside of Tellico Plains. Half-Day hike leading to AWESOME falls and river through the Bear Sanctuary. Trail is difficult due to steepness and rocky terrain, but well worth the hike. Less Traveled hike. (our personal favorite)

For the less adventurous traveler/hiker, the Cherohala offers many great overlook views. For the best sunset view, stop at the Turkey Creek Overlook. Get there a bit early as parking tends to fill up closer to sunset time. Long distance views of Tellico Plains and the surrounding area.
