Neighbourhoods
Knapp Croft Annex is situated in the quiet village of Ampfield, perfect for peaceful walks then popping into the pub.
The annex is on the edge of Ampfield woods which are open for walks or jogs. When walking in the woodlands, please follow the signage as some of the woods are private property. The woods can get a little damp in the winter, so please bring appropriate footwear.
In the local area you have the White Horse, The Potters Heron and Cafe Bingham's all within a 10 minute walk of the annex. The White Horse is a classic village pub serving great food at reasonable prices. The Potters Heron is a hotel, but has a nice bar and restaurant. It is also the only place within walking distance that serves craft ale on draught. Cafe Binghams serves a range of afternoon teas.
Additionally, there is a golf course next door to the pub. Here you can get a wood-fired Pizza on certain nights of the week and obviously, tee of for 18 holes of golf. In normal situations, the golf course is open to non-members to play. We would recommend calling ahead however. If you do want to play a spot of golf, we would be happy to give an overview of the local clubs.

30 - 40 minutes by car, Bournemouth is a great place for a day trip, offering golden sands within walking distance of the shops. We do advise to check traffic on sunny days however as Bournemouth is a very popular destination due to its beaches.

A massive favourite for our guests with young children. About a 10 minute drive from the Annex, Paultons Park is home to Peppa Pig world and can only be described as a 'Hoot Hoot'!
