Gaudí’s magical garden park, opened in 1926, is a huge space full of fascinating modernist designs, garden features, and amazing views. It’s a perfect day trip, ideal if you want to get lost and let your imagination fly. Come early or late in the day to avoid the crowds, and bring a snack to eat while enjoying the views! As a curiosity, you should know entrepreneur Eusebi Güell gave Gaudí the assignment of drawing up plans for developing an estate for well-off families on this large property. He wanted to recreate the British residential parks, which is why he named it Park Güell, in English.

The Sagrada Família is Barcelona’s indisputable icon and Antoni Gaudí’s masterpiece. It is the city’s most visited monument. It is recognisable from afar thanks to its sky-scraping towers, while its two exterior facades impact visitors at its site. However, it is inside where Gaudí’s genius is most evident. The basilica is still under construction and is not expected to be completed until 2026.

Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera (meaning “stone quarry” in Catalan), is Antoni Gaudí’s last civil work, which he started in 1906 and finished in 1912. Although Antoni Gaudí was particularly well known for his modernist phase, this work is considered “modern”. Included in the World Heritage List in 1984, along with Park Güell and Palau Güell, it was one of the first places of the industrial era to be added to the list of the most exceptional sites in the world. Its nickname, “La Pedrera”, refers to its external appearance, where stone has been used as a key material for the design of the façade and the balconies.

Surely "the" museum to visit in Barcelona. For the artist and for the building. Imagine Montcada Street, in the Gothic quarter, five mansions united to form a museum, lovely to visit. About Pablo Ruiz Picasso the museum is essential to understand his formative years. The genius of the young artist is revealed to us through more than 3,500 works that make up this permanent collection.
