Tawharanui Regional Park is an excellent option for surfing, hiking and relaxing. Tawharanui is a kiwi bird reserve with several great hiking trails. Check out 'Kiwiness Tours' for guided evening walks to spot kiwi birds. It takes approx. 25 minutes to drive to Tawharanui.

The Matakana Coast is famous for its fabulous vineyards and breweries and eateries.
Brick Bay is located in Snells beach, and easily reached within a 15 minute drive from our home. We recommend to participate in a wine tastings, enjoy a food platter from the Glasshouse restaurant and/or walk their beautiful 2 km long sculpture trail.
