Old Castle from 1542 over the sea. Site of the first cathedral then destroyed. Beautiful view, from the top, of the west coast and the beaches. Archaeological museum and cafe' inside. Steep climb. Un vecchio Castello del 1542 costruito a picco sul mare. Sede della prima cattedrale savonese poi distrutta. Dalla cima si ha una bellissima vista delle spiagge, della costa occidentale e del vecchio porto. C'e' anche un museo archeologico e un caffe'. Salita un po' ripida.

Cattedrale barocca costruita dopo la distruzione della prima. All'ingresso ci sono due statue di marmo bianco salvate dalla prima cattefrale. Da vedere!

Getting Around

Bus stops on the side of the piazza to many destinations. Buy the ticket at the kiosk and ask them for your bus number. Once inside punch the ticket in the yellow machine. Ticket usually has a 90 minutes validity. Most Buses also leave from the train station. Fermate dei bus ai lati della piazza. Comprare i biglietti dall'edicola e domandare il numero del bus. Ricordarsi di timbrare il biglietto. Biglietti a tempo. I bus partono anche dalla stazione.
