Doagh Famine village is open from 17th March until 31st October. It is open from 10am until 5pm, 7 days a week. They offer guided tours. A combination of informative story telling and life size exhibits provides an informative, thought-provoking and at time humorous look at Irish life. The attractions are predominantly under cover so you can enjoy a visit regardless of the weather! Light refreshments & snacks are available in their cafe, the Red Roof Barn.

At the side of O'Doherty's Keep is the manor-like Buncrana Castle, built in 1718 by John Vaughan, who also constructed the bridge. Wolfe Tone was imprisoned here following the unsuccessful French invasion in 1798.

An eccentric collection of artefacts awaits at this museum in a former coastguard station on a grassy verge right by the waterfront. The most fascinating exhibits are from the sunken wrecks of Lough Foyle exploring the demise of the Spanish Armada and the departure from these waters of Irish emigrants. There's also an astronomy show in the full-dome digital theatre at the Planetarium.
