Places to get outside and enjoy the wild nature walks of mid Wales.
For amazing walks, cycling, children's play area (the river is also lovely for the children to play near as well). There is also a walk that is wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
* as a side note.. I would recommend that you take a picnic and avoid the visitors centre café.

This nature reserve is perfect for those who want to get off the beaten track. Discover the farm that time forgot, the wild river, otter spotting hideaways and more. It is just a couple of miles from here so for seasoned hikers it is within walking distance.

Food Scene
We love this rustic, café/relaxed restaurant! They cater for both vegans, vegetarian and meat eaters. They have hand made Pizzas on Friday evening until around 9pm and are open until 4.30pm the rest of the week with a variety of dishes available. Although it is worth checking first as times do vary. They are super friendly and accommodating. They also have live music on sometimes too.,

If you want to get up close and personal with a wide selection of birds of prey, this experience is perfect! Eddie and Cara are warm, friendly and give a very thorough experience with their birds.

Get up close to a variety of farm animals. Although small you can spend a good few hours enjoying petting llamas, goats, donkeys and small animals. As well as meet the owls and other birds.

Sightseeing
With the lovely pebble beach and quaint town, you could spend a lovely day out here on a dry day. It's about 45mins to an hour drive from St Harmon.

For a sandy beach this one is perfect. Very long stretching out over a couple of miles. The sea is shallow and gets nice a warm on a hot day. There are plenty of crabs and fish to see. There is also an ancient forest on the beach (now just stumps but still interesting to note). Mind the jelly fish here though!
*also to add... There is no place to eat in Borth other than a little ice-cream shop so take a packed lunch!
