A great horseback riding place is attached to this which is suitable for adults and kids. Very gentle horses make for a nice activity before or after eating.

Great in any season. Spectacular caves with underground waterfalls. Cool in summer, warm in winter and a good place to visit if it is raining outside.

Definitely do a guided walk of the monastery and Oratorio di San Pellegrino. The 800 year old painted frescoes are astoundingly beautiful and interesting. Also walk to the top to Bominaco castle for a 360 view.

2 Hours by car from Ofena! We often fly into or out of Rome at the beginning or end of a visit to Abruzzo. Most car rental companies will rent one-way between Rome and Pescara or vice versa for little or no fee.
