This is fine dining and can be pricey. However, if that's what you're looking for, this is the best in Harrisburg. Beautiful views of the river, specialty glass-blown lighting, great food, and impeccable service. Reservations are recommended and can be booked by calling or using Open Table. Char herself is usually there to meet you and can talk to you about almost anything.

Beautiful views of the river, specialty glass-blown lighting, great food, and impeccable service. Reservations are recommended and can be booked by calling or using Open Table. This is another great local spot with a unique menu. It's a small restaurant with a lot of activity. We have never had a bad meal here.

A bit more upscale and pricey. The food is always great and the place has a simple decor. If you go, the "Il Tuscano" is the most amazing steak you will eat. It's huge and full of flavor.

If you want a traditional bar and grill, this is the place for you. It's fairly inexpensive and the food is decent. The service can be inconsistent and it can get loud, but embrace it and you'll have a great time.

This place is pricey, but has a beautiful setting. The Hotel Hershey is a great place for drinks and dinner any time. The circular is their nicest restaurant and has a great wine/food selection.

This is our favorite bar in town. It's a piano bar with live music pretty much every night. The bartenders are friendly (tell Trent we said hello if you go) and the drinks are strong. This is also a restaurant, but the food is just okay.

This is our favorite gay bar in Harrisburg. It's non-smoking (the others are not) and has a great rooftop bar. It's kind of dead sometimes, but if the weather's nice the rooftop has great views of the capital.

During the summer, this is the place to be. It's an outdoor bar and is usually packed. Get there early and grab one of the cabanas in the back and the wait staff will come to take your orders.

We have a beautiful capitol building and I highly recommend taking a free tour of the building. You can find the schedule at (http://www.pacapitol.com/tours.html). If you don't have time for a tour, just go into the building and take a quick look around.
