Hoi An and our village An Bang are blessed with many small and excellent restaurants serving fresh and tasty local food. Don't worry, vegetarians and vegans don't get too short. This is the lovable of the people here: guests are spoiled.
It's a small family run restaurant and the lovely owners serve fresh, delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine for small prices. It's good for breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can't be wrong coming here. Food-Tip: Pumpkin with Peanuts and Eggplant in Coconut Sauce. Yummy!

Mr. Dong, the owner, is a fantastic chef and his taste in music is excellent. We like the atmosphere, simple but comfortable and we could die for his Chicken Curry. Superior quality, worth a visit!

This place is unique, vegan streetfood at its best. They really do simple but great stuff like fried dough shaped like shrimps. Still an insider tip, but it's getting better known. You just gotta love it.

Just in case you are craving for western food, this is the place to go to. Gordon the owner really built a hotspot for the expat community in Hoi An, making his own bread, meat and cheese. It's pricy, yes, but the food is damn good.

Vietnamese coffee is damn good and quite rightly so. The coffee-house culture is firmly rooted here, even if they are mostly small shops. The young generation brings a breath of fresh air with well-designed shops and delicious coffee.
A very stylish Café with very lovely owners. Good coffee and breakfast, everything is a bit hipster. But it's cool. Located next to Hoi An Old Town, a good starting point to explore the ancient city.

When you come to Vietnam one of the things you have to try is coconut coffee. Here they serve a really good version of it. The location is simply but cool designed and the flair is relaxed. If you are up for a motorcycle tour you can also book it right here.

A little oasis at the beach. It's in our neighbor village, a very beautiful location to relax. The coffee is not the best, they also do some Western coffee versions, but the location makes up for it.

Bars & Nightlife
There are not really many good bars and the nightlife ends almost everywhere at 22.00 already, but for the time until then there are some good spots.
The location is beautiful, next to the beach with big sofas, everything made from bamboo, very cosy. On the weekends with live music, it has become the spot for foreigners. We recommend it for drinks but not for food as it is overpriced and not really good.

Small but very cool bar in our village. It's a bit hidden, but the people there are warm and if there's something going on then it's right!

There are over 400 tailor shops in Hoi An, the selection is overwhelming. Each of them claims to be able to do everything. We have tried many and can tell you that this is not quite true.

There is so much to see and discover here, time can get short. These are our favourite places and if you have seen them then you certainly had great experiences and definitely a lot to tell at home.
Hoi An is famous for its Ancient Town as UNESCO World Heritage Site, it's definitely beautiful! A must-do: The "Hoi An Full Moon Lantern Festival" every month at full moon when the city is glowing!

Climb it! What you can expect is a lot of history, mysterious caves, Buddhist and Confucian shrines and a nice view over the coast. Plus a good opportunity to do souvenir shopping for your dearest.

Beautiful Islands! Worth a visit, you can go on a guided diving or snorkeling tour or you can go snorkeling on your own and just book a speedboat ticket. We like to go on our own because it's more relaxed and more fun.

UNESCO World Heritage Site! It's a really nice ride by motor scooter, about 1,5 hours, into the countryside, through small villages until you suddenly arrive in the middle of the jungle. The way is the destination and the ruins are an extra.

Lady Buddha! A beautiful complex with several temples and a beautiful view of the bay of Da Nang. If you like culture and temples, this is the place to be while you are here.

One of the most beautiful coastal roads in Southeast Asia. The serpentines go up the mountain, at the top there is a great view of Da Nang and Lang Co Bay. You can do it by yourself with a motor scooter or you just take a driver.
